Childrens Podiatry
Book
Diagnosis and treatment of common childhood conditions including Sever's disease (heel pain), flat feet, in-toeing, Osgood-Schlatter disease (knee pain), and verrucae (warts).
Our feet develop and grow from before birth to early adulthood. Children's feet are therefore constantly changing and as a parent it is hard to know what is 'normal' and what could lead to problems in later life. Children's feet are also vulnerable to the microorganisms causing verrucae (warts) and fungal infections and, in very active kids, growth plate injuries are common.
At Podium, our podiatrists will assess your child's feet and provide reassurance and advice on normal growth and development. If podiatric intervention is required, management is tailored to meet the needs of the child. Options include symptom management, mechanical therapies (padding, strapping, off-loading), exercise prescription, shockwave therapy, orthotic therapy, and footwear advice.
